Ma Leju

Mr. Ma Leju is a professional in international cooperation of science, technology and innovation from China. He received academic training in Shanghai International Studies University (China) and Perugia University for Foreigners (Italy). 

He started career in China Science Technology Exchange Center as the coordinator of science communication cooperation with European countries, assisting internationalization of China’s science museums and science popularization publications. 

In 2005 he was transferred to Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology, taking charge of inter-governmental cooperation programs between China and Eastern European Countries. 

In 2009-2015 he was stationed in Chinese Embassy in Italy as diplomat for science and technology, establishing and developing the bilateral cooperation framework between the two countries, with particular highlights in the field of international technology transfer. 

In 2016-2017 he returned to China and worked for multilateral affairs with APEC, G20, ASEAN and other multilateral affairs. 

In 2018 he moved to private sector as senior researcher in international industry studies in DiDi.
